Alexandra Palace sits at the top of one of the best hills in London. The views stretch all the way to the City on a clear day, the park is genuinely lovely, and the venue itself puts on events year-round that draw people from across the country — and overseas.
But once you’re up there, the food options are limited. Which is exactly why Beans & Blues, just 8 minutes walk away on Muswell Hill Broadway, has become the go-to for anyone visiting Ally Pally.
How Close Is It?
From the Alexandra Palace main entrance, it’s a straightforward 8-minute walk downhill to Muswell Hill Broadway. You’re heading south — the view the whole way is worth it. We’re at 237 Muswell Hill Broadway, N10 1DE, right on the high street. Hard to miss.
If you’re coming from Alexandra Palace rail station, it’s even closer — about 4 minutes on foot.
Before an Event: Book Ahead
If you’re heading to a concert, the darts, or an exhibition at Ally Pally, the best move is to eat first. Venue food is expensive and you lose time queuing. Walk down to us, take your time over a proper meal, then walk back up. Doors usually open 90 minutes before showtime — plenty of room to eat well.
For groups of 4 or more heading to an event, we’d recommend booking ahead so your table’s ready when you arrive.
After an Event: Last Orders at 8pm
We’re open until 8pm every day, kitchen open the full time. Most Ally Pally events finish by 7pm or later — if you’re quick off the mark, you can still make it down for a post-show cocktail and something to eat. Worth checking the event finish time.
